Motorized actuators are typically compact, providing customers the ability to upgrade and motorize optical mounts or manual stages for remote and PC control. As stand-alone units, these motorized actuators are used in alignment, read head production, optical inserters, etc. Newport's motorized precision actuators come in a variety of travel, resolution, accuracy. From the least expensive TRA family to the high-precision VP-25AA actuator, which is equipped with a linear encoder, Newport's motorized actuator product offering is quite comprehensive and are usually compatible to other Newport manual products. Vacuum versions are available as standard model numbers.
