Coated with high power multilayer antireflection coatings, these fused silica meniscus lenses are used for beam manipulation of Nd:YAG lasers. By orienting the convex surface of the lens towards the laser beam, the light reflecting back into the laser is divergent, minimizing feedback. Designed to the fundamental and harmonic wavelengths of Spectra-Physics VanguardTM and Qunata-Ray® Lasers, these lenses meet the demanding requirements of a range of high power applications. Newport's fused silica meniscus lenses are polished to tight tolerances using master test plates to ensure minimum wavefront distortion. And for high-energy applications, the extreme purity of fused silica eliminates microscopic defect sites that could lead to laser damage.
