The Oriel® PVIV-3A Test Station runs I-V measurements and calculates critical parameters such as short circuit current (Isc), current density (Jsc), open circuit voltage (Voc), fill factor (ff), maximum output power (Pmax), cell efficiency (η), and other standard photovoltaic cell parameters. The station include a source/meter, cabling USB-GPIB converter,and IV measurement software. It is designed to work with any size Oriel solar simulators. The limiting factor is the current generated by the device under test, which is a function of the material type being tested and size of the sample. The PVIV-3A is designed to handle up to 3 amps. Not included are a computer system to run the software, a solar simulator, a workstation, reference cell, electrical probes, or sample positioning chuck which can be ordered separately to customize the design for your application requirements.

The Oriel I-V Test Station takes a modular approach to your I-V measurements. Today's photovoltaic devices incorporate a wide range of efficiencies, so your application may require only a small area and generate a higher current, or may require a large area of illumination but generate low current. To address this, Oriel has created basic IV systems.
